Soothing golden milk recipe

Golden milk - sometimes called turmeric milk - is a soothing and delicious drink. It's a Western take on haldi doodh, a traditional Indian recipe, which blends half a cup of milk with a tablespoon of ground turmeric to create a vibrant yellow beverage.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond or coconut milk

  • 1 ½ tsp turmeric

  • ¼ tsp ginger

  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

  • 1 pinch black pepper

  • Maple syrup as a sweetener to taste (optional)

Method

  1. In a small saucepan, add all ingredients.

  2. Whisk to combine and warm over medium heat for 3-5 minutes.

  3. Serve immediately.
