Vegan banana and strawberry smoothie recipe

Strawberries have a fairly low GI-index, so they’re unlikely to make blood sugars spike. These juicy fruits are also full of vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that can help to mop up damaging free radicals in the body.


Bananas are another health hero, and well worth incorporating into our diet. They’re well known for their potassium content. This mighty mineral helps to promote heart health and normal blood pressure. All the more reason to enjoy it in a smoothie!


We’ve made this recipe plant-based, but you can easily swap for dairy milks if you prefer.


Vegan banana and strawberry smoothie recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 banana, sliced

  • 300g strawberries, sliced into quarters

  • 120ml oat milk (or your chosen plant-based milk)

  • 100g dairy-free yoghurt (coconut flavour tastes good here)

Method

  1. Simply add all of your ingredients into a blender and blitz until you have a smooth drink.

  2. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
